The Motel Mermec at Lollar Branch Road was a home converted into a motel advertised as "Clean modern cabins and rooms with a dining room in connection, strictly home cooking". Originally, the building faced the railroad tracks. When Highway 66 was constructed, it was turned around to face the highway.
